Tudela for a Holiday in Spain with Deserts and Lush Vegetation

while on your HOLIDAY RENTALS IN SPAIN take a closer look at Navarra. The second largest city is Tudela and the capital of a small agricultural region called Ribera. The Romans founded the town and Marcus Valerius Martialis, a Roman poet of the time, referred to the town as Tutela. For several hundred years after the Muslims took control three communities coexisted: Muslim, Jewish and Mozarab until King Alfonso reconquered the town in 1119. A short way from Tudela is the National Park of Bardenas Reales, one of Europe’s only desert regions and a setting for many films and TV adverts.
