Tula ? Independence Fighter in Curacao

Tula was a freedom fighter for the slaves on the Island of Curacao, he managed to free many slaves during the rebellion which he planned for 1795. He would free them and then advise the plantation owners that they no longer worked for him. When the revolt had swept through the island this meant that the plantation owners fleed their plantations and went to the city leaving the rebels to free even more slaves, the battle continued for almost 7 weeks and at this time the leaders were all caught and executed. The Slave Trade was abolished after this although most slaves who were not free already stayed with their plantations and did the work for them and viewed the status of freedom as just a statement, you can useRPOPERTIES FOR RENT IN CURACAOas a base to explore the history of the Island.
